In 1995, Dominique Duvivier organized the landmark Mayette Days magic convention at the Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione. He booked many of the "giants" of stage and close-up magic, both French and foreign. Among them was Derek Dingle, an American magician who revolutionized close-up magic in the twentieth century. An unrivalled technician (coins, cards, etc.), Dai Vernon and Time Magazine called him "the greatest sleight-of-hand magician in the world". You're in for a treat with excerpts from his exceptional lecture, complemented by a few excerpts from table hopping magic during the dinner show. Not to be missed!

Here's a technique for instantly transforming one card into another. This technique can also be used to transform several cards into others. For example, in his trick "Incognito", Michel Huot transforms four blank cards into 4 cards previously freely thought of by several spectators! You really get the impression that the 4 cards are printed in the blink of an eye, the effect is striking. To buy an ordinary deck of cards click here.

A " Tsunami " of madness! Tsunami is a Japanese word that means "tidal wave". It is a trick that will devastate the brains of your audience, whether they are laymen or magicians. The deck can be borrowed, examined and thoroughly shuffled by a spectator, who cuts a small packet and sets it aside, hidden from the magician's view. Then he chooses a card, and loses it in the deck. The spectator counts how many cards he had put aside... and the chosen card is in the same position in the rest of the deck! A real killer. The magician displays a blank deck on both sides. Four cards are freely designated, and each time, a card is taken out of the deck. The four blank cards instantly transform into the four chosen cards! - a blank backed deck click here.

A Three Card Monte routine in which the back of the winning card changes color over and over again! Even if the spectators are attentive and the back of the winning card is of a different color than the other two, they can't keep up with it! And in the end, nobody is sure what they saw! The magician explains that his fingers have a memory independent of his own consciousness, and can therefore perform miracles by themselves! A deck of cards is shuffled by the spectators, and placed in a large opaque cloth bag. The magician plunges his hands in, his fingers "start working" out of his control... and extracts from the deck a Royal Flush of Spades! Everything is handled out for examination. A real killer! Lubor Fiedler is one of the most prolific creators in the magic world. One of the distinctive features of his creations is that the methods are simply as magical as the effects themselves! Feast your eyes on his incredible inventiveness and prodigious creativity with the lecture at the Double Fond in 1995 (split in 7 episodes). Not to be missed under any circumstances!

Dominique Duvivier organized an exceptional convention in 1995: The Mayette Days. He invited some of the greatest magicians of the time, of course including Larry Jennings, a legendary figure. This video shows a small part of his participation in this event that will remain in everyone's memory. Not to be missed!

The first version of this trick was described on this platform as "Double Open Prediction with Double Prediction". The version described here is the "ultimate" version in that the deck is handed out for examination at the end! Based on a routine by Gaetan Bloom, here is Dominique Duvivier's version which combines Prediction and Open Prediction, this last effect being performed in double! An absolute killer! The four aces are clearly scattered in different parts of the deck of cards. The magician makes it clear that they are neither on top nor on the bottom of the deck. Yet, in the blink of an eye, the Aces gather on top of the deck. The trick is repeated, but this time the Aces gather on the bottom of the deck. Finally, the Aces go through the deck one by one... and everything is handed for examination! To buy an ordinary deck of cards click here.

1970 was a special year for Dominique Duvivier in many ways: it was the year he turned 20, it was the year the Beatles (one of his favorite musical groups) broke up, and it was the year the famous Jerry's Nugget cards (his favorite cards) were manufactured. With these inspirations, Dominique Duvivier concocted a wonderful routine based on "Ace Assembly", with a scenario taking all these elements into account. A real gem! A " Tsunami " of madness! Tsunami is a Japanese word that means "tidal wave". It is a trick that will devastate the brains of your audience, whether they are laymen or magicians. The spectator chooses a card, and loses it. He shuffles and cuts the deck a lot of times; the magician does not touch the cards. Despite these extreme laboratory conditions, the magician finds the chosen card without asking any questions! A real killer. To buy an ordinary deck of cards click here.
