The magician displays eight cards, each with six words, for a total of 48 different words. While the magician's back is turned, the spectator freely chooses a card, and a word on the card. The words are written in either black or red. The spectator says the colors of the six words written on the card, but must lie about the color of the word he has chosen. Without further information, the magician guesses the word thought up by the spectator! The effect can be repeated immediately. Several spectators can each choose a card (up to eight spectators... since there are eight cards) and you can guess the words chosen one after the other! "Gypsy Thread" is a great classic in close-up magic. A length of sewing thread is broken into many small pieces. The whole thing is rolled together, forming a small ball of thread. The ball is now unrolled and you are left with only one length of thread, the broken thread is completely restored.
