Alain Choquette's career as a magician is awe-inspiring. He is a star like few others in the world of magic. Alain Choquette's great strength lies in his ability to use simple props and techniques and transform them into a moment of powerful emotion and dramatic lesson. His magic is direct, and hits the mark every time, putting the spectator at the center, who brings his own energy and synergy to the magic routines. His techniques are sure to enrich your magic repertoire! Alain Choquette comes from Quebec. He began his career in Canadian television in 1989 performing a regular segment on the talk show Ad Lib (TVA, Canada) until 1995. He created his first magic show, "Première apparition", in 1993 at Montreal's Théâtre St-Denis. In 1994, Alain Choquette set out to conquer America, bringing his show "Grand Illusions '94 - An Evening of Magic and Wonder" to Atlantic City's Caesars Palace for 150 performances. That same year, he was invited to take part in the legendary "World's Greatest Magic" show, recorded in Las Vegas and broadcast by the American network NBC. In 1995, he returned to the Montreal Forum with "Fascination", a new show featuring twenty-two artists from the National Circus School. In 1996, Alain Choquette returned to the U.S., becoming the first French-speaking artist to obtain a residency on the famous Las Vegas Strip. He spent six months at Caesars Palace with his show "Grand Illusions", and won worldwide acclaim with his original act "La disparition des douze", in which twelve spectators disappear from a platform on stage. David Copperfield asked him for permission to include his illusion in one of his shows. In 1997, Alain Choquette created a new show, "Jeux de vilain", at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal, before going on tour throughout Quebec and Canada. In 1999, the illusionist returned to Las Vegas to inaugurate the Paris Las Vegas, a new casino-hotel on the Strip, and settled there for a five-month residency with a new show. In 2000, Alain Choquette launched his eponymous show, in French and English, with which he toured Canada. In 2004, he toured Quebec with the show "Alain Choquette et vous... drôlement intime". In 2005, he created a new show, "Alain Choquette et compagnie", which he presented in residence at the Casino de Montréal and on tour across Canada. In 2009, Alain Choquette created the show "Drôlement magique", which he performed across Quebec. In 2012, he came to France to test Parisian audiences at the Théâtre du Gymnase with a first show entitled "Alain Choquette et Vous". In 2013, he joined Arturo Brachetti's Comedy Magik Cho team. The following year, he decided to present his earlier show "Drôlement magique" at the Théâtre de la Gaîté-Montparnasse, which ran for four seasons and over six hundred performances!
