To celebrate the 23 years of existence of the Double Fond, in 2011 we welcomed Eric Antoine for a few shows and a lecture. We can say that the atmosphere was particularly nice. The Double Fond in all its splendor! What bliss... This recording is the discussion after one of these shows, between the three artists that evening (Eric Antoine, Alexandra and Dominique Duvivier) and the public.

"Against adversity, see you every day at 10am for a little well-deserved escape! ". This is what Alexandra and Dominique announced as soon as the lockdown was put in place in March 2020: for almost 100 days, daily videos were published. "Their goal was not to lose contact with the viewer, to communicate. " one could read in "Le Figaro" (newspaper in France). Alexandra confided, "As artists, we almost have a duty to show that we are always on deck. "  

As the title suggests, a good presentation of this trick will allow you to create a standing ovation without difficulty. All the audience has to do is follow your instructions!

You show the first portrait facing the front and ask the audience in the center to clap. Then you show a second portrait looking to the left and ask this part of the audience to clap in turn. Finally you show a last portrait looking to the right and have the last third of the audience clap. Then you start to play with the audience, showing the different portraits quickly and alternately. Guaranteed impact!

Finally you decide which portrait and therefore which part of the room you prefer... But, just before showing it, you say: "If the portrait looks at you, clap and stand up! ".

This is the final twist: you show the portrait, and, as if by magic, EVERYONE stands up and claps!!!

This trick is absolutely brilliant for creating a fiery atmosphere in the room. Ideal for all your parlour and stage performances.
