Card technique: how to secretly fold a card into quarters. The spectator chooses a card, which is lost in the deck. A magic pass, and a card mysteriously turns up face up in the center of the deck; but against all odds, it is not the one chosen by the spectator: it is the 5 of Hearts. The magician then counts the cards one by one from the 5, and the fifth one turns out to be... the chosen card. The four cards that were counted to get to the 5 of Hearts are turned face up... they're the four Aces! And as the icing on the cake, the magician shows that he couldn't have done it any other way, since the other cards in the deck are shown: they're all blank! The Ace is the winning card, but it's not where it's supposed to be, and in the end we clearly have the opposite, i.e. three Aces of Diamonds and just one blank card! Tsunami: Japanese word that means "tidal wave". It is a trick that will devastate the brains of your audience, whether they are laymen or magicians. This variation is based on a Bob Hummer principle. This routine is a completely atypical Tsunami, as there are no chosen cards, but this time the cards are shuffled completely randomly, face-up, face-down, and yet, as the deck is cut into two parts, there are the same number of face-up cards in each!
