Le Double Fond opened its doors on June 1, 1988. These exceptional archives offer a glimpse of Dominique Duvivier during his early shows at Le Double Fond in 1988 and 1989. These shows have been divided into three episodes. Not to be missed under any circumstances!  

Basically, “Hand Mucking” is a gambler's technique for secretly exchanging one or more cards during a card game. Applied to card magic, these techniques allow you to magically transform one card (or several) into another (or several others). You borrow a ring and a shoelace, the most ordinary. You announce that you will be able to put the ring on the lace, without the ends leaving the viewer's sight... A scarf is placed over the middle of the lace and the ring. The magician goes under the scarf, without the ends moving. And unbelievable: the ring is tied on the shoelace! You MUST try this clever trick.  

In the magician's arsenal, it is very practical to be able to "force" a spectator to take the card you want. Here is one possibility!  

Two thieves share a loot of seven ordinary coins. But the sharing won't be fair, because one bandit is more of a thief than the other! A nice little story to tell, while bluffing your spectators!  

A selected card is lost in the deck and then found in completely impossible conditions! The spectator randomly takes a group of cards from the middle of a deck of cards. He secretly counts the number of cards selected (for example, five) and then places them on top of the deck, while looking at the fifth card. To lose the magician completely, he shuffles everything again. Yet the magician manages to find the card that the spectator has secretly looked at! An incredible method. See for yourself!  

Something to have at your fingertips! This technique of Arturo Di Ascanio is an indispensable part of the magician's knowledge. Here is the principle: you show four red cards and, when you want, you can make a black card appear!  

You take out a black 7 and a black 9 and clearly lose them in the middle of the deck. Then with a simple magic gesture you find them in a flash.  

The magician takes out nine cards: three jacks, three queens and three kings and alternates them, jack, queen and king. They are put back on the deck. With a wave of the magic wand, the couples are instantly separate: all the jacks are reunited, all the queens and all the kings. It's amazing!  

The perfect combination of a Book Test and a card trick! The effect, as well as the techniques used, are subtly combined to create a beautiful routine! And it's very easy to do. So there's no more hesitation!  

A magician inevitably leaves his fingerprints on his deck of cards. So, when the spectator chooses a card and puts his fingerprint on it, the magician will only have to locate double fingrprints to find the card! Yes, the scenario is crazy, but the result is more than baffling!  

A must in your repertoire! A card is freely chosen and then lost in the deck. Four cards are shown, with the chosen card being among them. Magically the card disappears from the small packet of four cards, and finally ends up face up in the middle of your face down deck. It's crazy!  

A very cute routine to entertain your friends, while fooling them! The spectator thinks he has understood how your trick works, so you give him your deck of cards so that he can take your place. But a surprise awaits him, he soon finds out "the joke's on him"! This trick allows you to have a special interactivity moment with your audience. And it's very funny !  

A magnificent routine to amaze and amuse your spectators! The spectator is transformed into a magician: he must recognize a sign on the magician's face that indicates on the chosen card.
