A blue-backed card is set aside, without showing its face. One spectator checks and shuffles a deck of red-backed cards. Two cards are selected under laboratory conditions. The blue-backed card is turned face up: it's one of the two chosen cards! And this blue-backed card changes mysteriously into the second chosen card! Success guaranteed! From a shuffled deck, a spectator first selects one card, then a series of three cards. The first card, the Leader card, is turned over... and it's the Ace of Spades. A spectator chooses a card. The magician then picks up a few cards that he had put aside before starting the trick; these cards will be used to create a kind of profile of the spectator's card: these are the four Aces, which he shows one by one. These Aces will first determine the "suit" of the card (e.g. Spades), then the value of the card (e.g. Jack), as the Ace in question transforms into the chosen card.
