The magician shows the Ace of Spades, his favorite card, and places it in his pocket. A spectator freely chooses a card, which he also places in his own pocket. Magician and spectator then exchange a... magic handshake, since now both cards have changed places: the magician's card is now in the spectator's pocket, and vice versa! A real killer! Some cards are ribbon spread on the table. A spectator is invited to guess exactly how many cards there are: there seem to be more than twenty. The cards are turned over: the faces of these cards are red all over, and there are only four of them! And the icing on the cake is that these four cards transform into the four Aces! A completely original version of Dai Vernon's famous "Twisting the Aces" trick. The magician explains that he always sets the jokers aside when using a new deck of cards... and now he finds himself with a deck made up entirely of jokers. He takes four of them, and they magically turn over one by one. At the end of the trick, everything is handed out for examination!

I love "the Bunco Book", a book about fairground scams... This is my adaptation of one of them. A board with nails... the balls fall randomly into numbered squares. The three balls are totaled: if the total is even, you win a small prize; if not... bingo! Everything's under control! I've modified the trick so that I don't have to bend certain nails, and it works really well!  

Peter Din uses this routine as an opener for his children's show. This allows him to establish the rules of the game for the rest of his performance: they are allowed to participate, in what ways, etc…

Larry Jennings' method of doing the Card Stab trick. A card is chosen, and lost into the deck. This one is wrapped in a paper napkin. A coin disappears from the magician's hands, and ends up in the center of the deck... above the spectator's chosen card! The effect is repeated several times... but the last time, the coin is enclosed in a piece of paper, and when it is found in the center of the deck, the four Aces appear!
