The spectator chooses a card, which is lost in the deck. A magic pass, and a card mysteriously turns up face up in the center of the deck; but against all odds, it is not the one chosen by the spectator: it is the 5 of Hearts. The magician then counts the cards one by one from the 5, and the fifth one turns out to be... the chosen card. The four cards that were counted to get to the 5 of Hearts are turned face up... they're the four Aces! And as the icing on the cake, the magician shows that he couldn't have done it any other way, since the other cards in the deck are shown: they're all blank! Alexandra and Dominique Duvivier interview Jean Regil. In this informal chat, Jean Regil shares his experiences in magic. This interview is in four parts. Not to be missed!  

The basic trick is a classic of card magic. It was invented by Al Leech in 1950 and popularized by Frank Garcia under the name “Chicago Opener”. It has already been described on this platform. "Wild Card" is one of the greatest classics of small packet tricks. It was created by Peter Kane. Dozens, even hundreds of versions have been conceived to this day. The magician ties three knots on a rope. He magically takes them one by one, and sends them to three different spectators. Each time, the knot disappears from the rope. Then he asks the three spectators to throw their invisible knots onto the rope... and indeed, they appear on it... but not quite, resulting in a surprising climax! The spectator's chosen card disappears... and when he gets up from his chair, he realizes that he was sitting on it! The effect is immediately repeated! A third time?... but this time, all 51 other cards disappear, and the spectator was still sitting on them! One last time? Are you interested in the magic of coins? Here's a move you absolutely have to master! It will require a little practice, but will allow you to perform miracles under the nose of your spectators, with normal coins. The principle: give the illusion that you are putting a coin in your hand, when it is not the case. A great classic of magic!  

After a lot of different shuffles, you don't find the aces as usual, but a king! Then two kings and soon four kings. You lose them again in the deck and this time it's the four aces that come in their place! A nice routine full of twists and turns. You'll like it, no doubt about it!
